Grants up to $1,000

If you are or know an educator or are part of a community nonprofit, ConnectSafely is offering grants of up to $1,000 to help educators and youth-serving community organizations implement a student program or classroom activity for Safer Internet Day, an annual global celebration where everyone is empowered to use technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.

ConnectSafely, the official host of U.S. Safer Internet Day, is offering grants to help teachers and organizations purchase supplies and other resources for students. Safer Internet Day is February 7, 2023, but we are now accepting applications.

While programs must serve young people, we are open to “family night” events where parents and young people can meet together.

And you’re not on your own. ConnectSafely is offering lesson plans, discussion points, videos, slides, materials to print–out and other resources to enhance your program.

Important details

Who’s eligible: K-12 educators and nonprofit youth-serving community organizations. Must be in US for this program.

Deadline to apply: December 31, 2022
(We will make grant awards on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early.)

How to apply: Submit an online application

Grantees will be expected to submit a short report no later than March 1, 2023, letting us know how their students or community participated in Safer Internet Day.

These grants are made possible thanks to the generous support of Meta, Google, Amazon Kids, Twitch, TikTok, Snapchat, Discord, Roblox, Trend Micro, NCTA – the Internet & Television Association, Meet Group and ZEPETO.
