ConnectSafely is actively seeking students aged 16-21 to join our National Youth Advisory Council. We wholeheartedly believe in the power of student voices, and we want to hear yours! Come join the conversation around topics like generative AI, wellness and identity, toxicity and hate speech and much more.   As a council member, you will enjoy a unique chance to shape ConnectSafely content, including videos, posts and guides, and directly share your insights with the people behind the platforms you use daily. Come be a part of a national conversation and engage in discussions with peers from around the country in a fun and relaxed environment.

Timeline

Phase 1 Open call for expression of interest. The deadline is March 1, 2024 Phase 2 Members will be selected to join the ConnectSafely Youth Advisory Council on March 15, 2024

Commitment and Details

Who People ages 16-21 When Once a month for 90 minutes Where Zoom Time Third Thursday of the month 5:00- 6:30 Pacific Time (8:00 to 9:30 Eastern Time) Leader Dr. Erica Pelavin. LCSW, PHD Community service hours will be given.
