Larry, Viktorya and Kat discuss what people can do to stop online harassment and abuse and their recommendations for social media companies.
“I work with tons of reporters and writers, and reporters and writers are very reluctant to speak openly about the fact that some of this hate and harassment and death threats have made them self-censor,” says Viktorya. “Because, of course, none of us want to be censoring ourselves. We want to be perceived as being able to, you know, do our jobs come hell or high water, but that is a very high cost.”
